Bullfinch Mix
The Eurasian Bullfinch is a well-known and popular bird amongst bird-keepers and requires a high-quality, varied seed mix to look and feel at its best.
Here it is!
In the wild, the British Bullfinch can be found consuming buds and the seeds of woodland plants including nettles, beech and often whatever produces seeds in a garden border. We emulate this variety by adding lots of different seeds to our Bullfinch Mix.
We add safflower to provide oil plus it's a seed that encourages the Bullfinches natural enrichment as it rolls the seed to crack it open with its parrot-like bill. In the wild, Bullfinches can be seen feeding on niger seed - which is why we include them in our mix. Not too many, though, as we know the demands of a caged bird are different from the demands of a wild (free-living) bird. Rowan Berries are accompanied by canary seed and other super clean seeds to make up a mix that's clean, healthy and nutritious.
Please note: Bird seed recipes may change without notice in line with crop availability, but we'll always select a suitable seed replacement.
