Haith’s Collaboration with 'Stewton Stars Hideaway': Promoting Nature-Friendly Glamping

Earlier this year Jess, owner of Stewton Stars Hideaway, a local luxury glamping haven, reached out to us. Recognising our shared passion for nature, she extended an invitation for us to collaborate in supporting her business.

The Haith’s team discussed how best to help and came up with an exciting idea. We proposed creating three custom-made children's nature resources tailored specifically for Stewton Stars' enchanting surroundings. These resources would not only enhance the overall experience for young visitors but also promote a deeper connection with the natural world. This collaborative endeavour aimed to blend education and adventure, inspiring a new generation of nature enthusiasts while adding an extra touch of wonder to the glamping retreat.

Julianne Jessett who oversees the Family & Education section at Haith’s, asked Jess to provide a list of wildlife that often visit the Stewton Stars rural setting.  With an abundance of wildlife to choose from, the aim was to craft an engaging nature sheet for children and families to enjoy. Julianne got to work on creating a charming ‘What did you see on your visit?’ tick sheet, to encourage families to explore the country setting, in search of a glimpse of spectacular British wildlife. The list encompassed a wide array of species, from the striking presence of the great spotted woodpecker to the cheeky antics of the grey squirrel.

Charlotte Nugent, Haiths Social Media Champion, designed a beautiful colouring sheet inspired by the Stewton Stars setting. The sheet featured one of the glamping pods, Orion, and a variety of natural elements to reflect the calming nature of the site.

Jess suggested creating an informative nature fact sheet; Julianne brought the idea to life by designing a page that included interesting facts about birds, trees and mammals, all aimed at fostering curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.

Fact Sheet

Jess has placed packs in every cabin at Stewton Stars, which include general information, local recommendations and our trio of activity sheets.

Additionally, Jess has shown support for Haiths by actively utilising our feeders and seeds, whilst sharing delightful observations of the birds that frequent the site on her social media platforms.

Jess has said, “I had been toying with the idea of adding bird feeders around our site for a little while, to bring nature closer to all our guests. A recent visit to the Haith’s store saw me leaving not only with some fantastic products (including squirrel food which the children absolutely love leaving for our furry friends), but also some wonderful ideas of how we could collaborate to enhance our guest experience.

Julianne and Charlotte have been amazing, designing a trio of activity sheets which I know will benefit all our family visitors. I was also delighted to discover Haith’s have a wealth of other educational resources, from wordsearches to nature podcasts, all available on their website for anyone to use. They really are a fabulous business, and we are so lucky to have them on our doorstep. Thank you Haith’s!”

We are excited to collaborate in the future and embrace our shared slogan – ‘Haith's and Stewton Stars, Working Together to Bring You Closer to Nature.’
