Superb all-round bird seed mixture for most aviary birds; suitable for use in aviaries housing a mixed collection of small birds such as canaries and finches, budgerigars, cockatiels and lovebirds.

Outside aviaries can house a variety of small bird species and the most common of these are finches, canaries, Budgerigars and British Birds. Selecting a seed mixture for each species is a complicated business and the simplest solution is to choose a general Aviary Mixture and then supplement this with the addition of mineral grits, cuttlefish and when necessary – especially during the moult – condition seeds rich with tonic properties such as Haith’s Condition Seed with Rape.

A top seed mix.

I've been feeding the Aviary mix to my birds, a mix of Zebras, Bengalese, Canaries and Javas for several years now. It's always clean and fresh and delivered very quickly, and the birds are doing well on it but I do find that none of my birds eat the "black rape seeds" so they are of no benefit if there not being eaten so a version of the Aviary mix without black rape seeds would be an even bigger hit with me.

I am trying the aviary mix with my exhibition budgies, not too sure its the right mix at the moment, but only time will tell.
