Easisoak Seed™ - sprouting seed for canaries, British birds, hybrids & budgerigars
To help feed hens and during the moult, wise bird breeders use Haith's Easisoak Seed. Why? Because life's more manageable with Easisoak.
During the breeding season (and the moult) Easisoak is an invaluable nutritive bird diet for Canaries, British Birds, Hybrids and Budgerigars (read this for budgies). All the seeds in Easisoak are selected for their germinating ability and suitability for soaking. A great help to bird breeders!
Prepare only as much as is required daily and discard uneaten remains each evening to prevent potential moulds from harming the birds.
The reason for soaking seed is to assist the young bird to digest it more easily and, of course, the sprouted seed is at its most nutritional. If you require sprouted seeds, they will not sprout in water it must have air to give them the oxygen to grow, this is best done in a proper seed sprouter/germinator or in a propagator.
Directions:
STEP 1: Thoroughly rinse the seed in clean water before allowing it to drain
STEP 2: Keep the seed covered with a damp cloth in a warm place
STEP 3: Rinse and drain the seed every few hours (this discourages fermentation and growth of mould)
STEP 4: After 24 hours the seed should start to germinate and be ready for the birds.
Please note: Bird seed recipes may change without notice in line with crop availability, but we'll always select a suitable seed replacement.
