  Bird Table

Mealworms provide essential protein and moisture for garden birds to feed themselves and their young.

Live mealworms are vegetarian larvae and are clean and odourless. Mealworms are rich in protein (48%) and fat (40%) and are relished by many species of birds. Live mealworms can be kept for up to 14 days in a very cool place - some people keep them in the fridge.

Please note:

Live mealworms are excluded from click & collect as they come direct from the UK supplier.

Mealworms are delivered by Royal Mail separately from seed orders to ensure they arrive in a healthy condition. We only despatch Live Foods to UK Mainland addresses. As all live foods are delivered by Royal Mail, we are unable to accept delivery instructions (i.e. if out please leave in the shed etc).

The garden birds will thank you for feeding healthy, protein-rich live food by coming back to your garden bird feeders for more.

Birds Love Them

"I bought these live mealworms a couple of weeks ago and have been putting one pot out every 5-6 days. The birds love them, in particular, the robin and the starlings. Have to chase the magpies off though"

"Worms arrived swiftly and well packaged. They were greeted by the the birds with much scoffing and quickly emptied.I will also purchase the mealworm food next time as the last few seemed a little less yummy."

Live Mealworms

"These are very popular with 'our' birds. Mrs Blackbird knocks on our kitchen window when she wants more, which is frequently at this time of year while she has young to feed!"
