Looking Back at Ken's Groundbreaking Three-In-One Baits

As we reflect on the innovations that have shaped modern carp fishing, it's impossible not to highlight Ken Townley's groundbreaking Three-In-One baits. Originally introduced on August 11, 2022, these baits have revolutionised our approach to angling with their versatility and effectiveness. Let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit Ken's original blog post to understand what makes these baits so exceptional. https://haiths.com/blogs/fishing-tips-techniques-recipes/the-three-in-ones

The Vision Behind Three-In-One Baits

When we first set out to create the Three-In-One baits, our mission was clear: develop a versatile, high-performance range that caters to various fishing methods. We turned to Ken Townley to bring this vision to life. Ken recalls, "I had a precise goal in mind, which led me to experiment with several trial mixes before finalising the three blends. These baits are not just nutritionally complete—rich in proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals—but they also meet Haith's Baits' Three-In-One criteria. This means each bait can be used as groundbait, a Method mix, or a boiled bait ingredient. Additionally, they can serve as stand-alone base mixes when ground into a fine powder and mixed with egg. Achieving these goals in every respect was immensely satisfying."

Revisiting the Four Legendary Baits

SuperRed: The star of the show, SuperRed, set the standard for versatility and performance in carp fishing baits. Its balanced nutritional profile and adaptability made it a favourite among anglers. SuperRed

MarineRed: As Ken described, "MarineRed is based on our standard 66% protein fishmeal, blended with specific binders and, of course, the famous Robin Red. It’s a high-fat, high-energy mix that is inherently attractive and easily digestible." This bait quickly became a staple for serious anglers.

NaturalRed: This blend combines fishmeal, hemp seed, honey, maize oil, dried insects, and our unique High Protein Crumb. Enhanced with Robin Red, NaturalRed has proven to be a versatile and effective choice, adhering to the successful Three-In-One formula.

HoneyRed: Ken described HoneyRed as "one of the most intricate and effective carp baits we've ever created." Rich in natural oils, micro and whole seeds, enticing sugars and spices, and the delightful aroma and flavor of real Baker's Honey, HoneyRed also includes the sweet and spicy PTX and the highly attractive Red Factor, along with Robin Red UK/EU.
